More about the House of Vans:
The HOV and FYF are bringing their pop-up music festival concept to Cambridge for the 1st time! HOV pop-ups have been set up across the globe with stops in Europe, Mexico, Asia and Canada. The HOV has stopped in Huntington Beach, CA for the Vans US Open of Surfing and, the Mohawk in Austin, TX for SXSW.
Vans is introducing the House of Vans to Cambridge this month with a three night music showcase, documentary film screening and snowboarding demo. House of Vans is a roving music venue that echoes the stand-alone space in Brooklyn, NY. We’ve grown the House of Vans with special pop-up events across the globe with stops in Europe, Mexico, Asia and Canada. In the US the HOV has stopped in Huntington Beach, CA for the Vans US Open of Surfing and this will be the second year we take over the Mohawk in Austin, TX for SXSW.
We’ve partnered with FYF to bring the HOV to Cambridge for the first time. The Middle East will be hosting the three-night showcase. RSVP opened this past Friday and is free and open to the public with one all ages show and the others 18 and up.
Along with the showcase we have two screenings of Vans’ “20 Years Off The Wall On The Snow” documentary. We’ve also partnered with Snowboy Productions, North America’s premiere snowboard event production company, to create a one-of-a-kind, pop-up snowboard park. The park will live on the corner of Mass Ave. and Brookline, right in front of the Middle East, for one night only. New England’s best snowboarders will put on a demo for concert goers and passer-bys from 6-9pm. www.vans.com:eventsites:hovboston 2
