The Hip Hop Transformation is a program that was started at the Cambridge Community Center in partnership with the Cambridge Police Department, Cambridge Health Alliance, Cambridge Arts Council, and Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program in the summer of 2013. The program teaches teens the history of hip hop culture, the role it plays in our society and their lives, and the skills needed to write, record, and perform their own original music.
This mixtape is a compilation of the work that the teens in the program completed over the summer.
